Skiddy Support

In the app: Settings → Write to us. The app version is added to the subject for you.

We answer reports about names and sounds within 24 hours, other questions as soon as we can.

What to send

App version and build (Settings, at the bottom, or the subject of the email from the app).
iPhone model and iOS version.
Date, time and your time zone when it happened.
What you did and what went wrong. A screenshot or a screen recording helps a lot.
The room code, if it was in a game.
The diagnostic file, if we ask: on the start screen press and hold the Skiddy logo for 3 seconds → Share → Mail. It contains no name and no sound — see the Privacy Policy, section 4.

No sound

Turn off silent mode and turn the volume all the way up with the side buttons.
Disconnect Bluetooth headphones and speakers: the sound has to come from the phone in your pocket.
If one phone stays silent, ask that player to leave the room and join again with the code.

Microphone

The microphone is used only to record "My sound" — 3 seconds while you hold the button. The other players in your room will hear it.

If you said no: iPhone Settings → Skiddy → Microphone.
You don't need the microphone to play: choose a random sound.

Motion sensor

Movement is the game: when a tooter moves, their phone gives them away with a sound. Without the motion sensor the phone can't react to your steps.

Turn it on: iPhone Settings → Skiddy → Motion & Fitness. If there is no such switch: Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → Fitness Tracking on, then Skiddy on.
Sensor readings stay on the phone. Only the fact "a sound played" and its time go to the server.

Phone in the pocket and the lock screen

When the countdown starts, lock the phone and put it in your pocket, screen against your leg. The screen goes dark — that's the point.
The round keeps playing on the lock screen. If the notification shows STOP, press and hold it to stop. If not, STOP is in the app.
Don't close Skiddy from the app switcher during a round.

Joining with a code or QR

Tap "I have a code" and type the letters from the room creator's screen.
Or scan the creator's QR: in Skiddy ("Scan QR") or with the iPhone Camera app — if Skiddy is installed, the room opens by itself.
"Check the letters": the code is wrong or the room is gone. Ask the creator for the current code.
Lost the connection? Join again with the same code.
If the camera is off: iPhone Settings → Skiddy → Camera, or just type the code.

Restore a purchase

"Skiddy forever" is a one-time purchase linked to your Apple ID.

Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.
Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Delete my data

Settings → Delete my data → Delete. We erase your name, your recorded sound and your game history on the server and on the phone. During a round it doesn't run — wait until the round ends and tap again. Without internet — tap again when you're online. What stays and why: Privacy Policy, section 9.

Report a name or a sound

In the app: tap ⋯ next to the player's name → Report → Hurtful name, Nasty sound or Other. The player is muted for you at once.
Mute only: ⋯ → Mute. Their sound becomes a standard one and their name becomes "Player N" on your phone, in every room.
Without the app — anyone can report: email [email protected] with the room code, the player's name, the date and time and what is wrong. We look at every report within 24 hours and can remove the name or sound and block the player.

Playing safely with eyes shut

The sniffer walks with eyes shut. Thirty seconds now beats a broken lamp later.

Clear the floor of anything you can trip over.
Say the boundaries out loud — where you can go and where you can't.
Stairs and balconies are out of bounds. Always.
Everyone has STOP on every screen. Hit it without thinking.
Hide where you can get out of easily. Don't climb on furniture or hide near glass.
Play only with people who agreed to play.
